The "A Celebration of Diversity" all-day festival with more than 30 nations represented will take place Sat., Sept. 12, rain or shine, from 10 a.m. - 5p.m., in downtown Laconia, N.H.

This admission-free, fun event in the beautiful historic downtown Laconia settings, Belknap Mill and Rotary Park, will include cultural arts, crafts, cuisines, children's section, animals, entertainment, exhibits, social services and continuous musical performances.

Opening with International Parade of the Flags at 11 a.m., the Multicultural Market Day will also highlight musical performances starting with Sharon Danson, Black Sea Salsa, and more, and ending with the Swing Caravan, a "toe tappin’, finger snappin’," get it down deep in your soul kind of group whose music is rooted in the great acoustic Gypsy Jazz tradition of Django Reinhardt from France in the 1930s and 40s.

The event is hosted by the Laconia Human Relations Committee, Historic Belknap Mill, Laconia Historical and Museum Society, Laconia Main Street and Frates Creative Arts Studio.
